Refugi / Cottage

El Refugi de Son Negre és un refugi que forma part d'una explotació agrària. Té la voluntat de donar valor a una finca petita d'uns 4.000 m2 que queda lluny de la resta de finques de l'explotació dedicades a l'agricultura i la ramaderia. Per això va quedar en desús, i ara ha tengut l'oportunitat de reformar-se i canviar l'ús a refugi. Així podrà ser compartit per ser gaudit per qui aprecia el món rural tal com és, sense artificis ni grans luxes.  / Son Negre cottage is a cozy house that is part of an agricultural farm. It aims to give value to a small property of about 4,000 m2 that is far from the rest of the farm's properties dedicated to agriculture and livestock. For this reason, it fell into disuse, and now it has had the opportunity to be renovated and changed its use to a refuge. This way it can be shared to be enjoyed by those who appreciate the rural world as it is, without artifice or great luxuries.  

Part dels beneficis de la comercialització del refugi es reinvertiran en el manteniment de les finques, sembrant arbres, principalment garrofers i figueres. Són arbres que els seus fruits tant serveixen per comercialitzar com per alimentar a les ovelles. / Part of the profits from the commercialization of the refuge will be reinvested in the maintenance of the estates, planting trees, mainly carob and fig trees. These are trees whose fruits are used both for commercialization and to feed the sheep. 

Antigament, quan a Mallorca bàsicament només hi havia agricultura, s'aprofitava cada racó de cada finca per produir productes agrícoles. Aquesta finca tenía figueres i figueres de moro durant un temps, però van anar envellint i morint. El darrer que s'hi va sembrar van ser melons, a la part de baix de la finca, després de les alzines. Donada la baixa rendibilitat de la producció agrària la finca es va abandonar als anys setanta del segle passat. / In the past, when Mallorca was basically just about agriculture, every corner of each farm was used to produce agricultural products. This farm had fig trees and prickly pears for a while, but they grew old and died. The last thing to be planted there were melons, in the lower part of the farm, after the holm oaks. Given the low profitability of agricultural production, the farm was abandoned in the seventies of the last century. 

Amb el temps la terra nua abandonada es va anar regenerant sola. Van néixer ullastres que són els arbres pioners dels boscos, i després mates. Les alzines ja hi eren i les llavors es van repartir davall alguna mata on ara ja s'hi pot descobrir alguna petita alzina. Si et passeges per la finca i observes apreciaràs com es forma un bosc. / Over time, the abandoned bare land regenerated itself. Olive trees, which are the pioneer trees of forests, were born, and then bushes. The holm oaks were already there and the seeds were distributed under some bushes where now you can discover some small holm oaks. If you walk around the estate and observe, you will appreciate how a forest is formed. 

Refugiar-te a la finca / Find your cozy retreat on the farm 

Ara quan arribes veus un bosc jove, el silenci es confon amb el cantar dels ocells. La finca és petita tot i que la disposició irregular dels arbres i l'explanada de la part més baixa permet perdre's entre les branques d'un bosc delimitat. / Now when you arrive you see a young forest, the silence is mixed with the singing of birds. The estate is small although the irregular arrangement of the trees and the esplanade at the lowest part allows you to get lost among the branches of a delimited forest. 

Refugiar-te a la caseta / Escape to the warmth of the house 

La caseta és per guarir-te, a l'hivern del fred devora la ximeneia i a l'estiu a l'ombra, tot i que no faria falta perquè d'ombra n'hi ha una davall cada arbre. / A house built for healing. Find comfort by the fireplace in winter, and enjoy the natural cool of the trees in summer—though you'll find refreshing shade wherever you go.

Els exteriors són ideals per a realitzar activitats respectuoses amb la naturalesa a l'aire lliure. / The exteriors are ideal for carrying out activities that respect nature outdoors.
